Accommodated on a spur diverging from the crest separating the valleys of Estéous and Lanénos at a height of 272 metres, Peyrun, Romanic place-name derived of the Gascon " peyre " meaning " rocky place ", saw the number of his inhabitants and his exploitations decreasing strongly for a century. Situated between Lurus and Savaric's brooks at a height of 341 metres, the name of this village is probably pre-Latin; the term "Front" "in the East" places the municipality with regard to Bouilh-Darré "on the West".

Both conglomerations of Trouley and Labarthe, situated at feet of the abrupt(steep) oriental hillside of the valley of Arros at a height of 201 and 245 metres, merged in 1847.

In 1783 the inhabitants " take charge in the plowing and with cutting their vineyard, there are several weavers and dressmakers ". The craft adorned to have disappeared in the XIX ° century when only the agriculture specialized in the bovine and porcine breeding is practised.
